i have to make a weird confession to make..(again!)...when i was younger, younger in this case means 12..i really really liked american psycho..i totally enjoyed it...even though i never admited that until now..its a bad book..yes..but i was 12...and hey somehow i still like it a lot..when the movie came out i was as disapointed as can be..so to say..that was really really a bad movie..even though a lot people say its cult..but then i discovered miles fisher doing this übercool impersonation(?) of c bale....and the song is ok too..:-)..and doesent he look in a few scenes like the real c bale?...

Danielle,
I read American Psycho while I was in graduate school and added it to my list of influences, books that would be, as we put it in the MFA Program, a core for our creative lines of inquiry.
Initially, a friend dared me to read the novel. He didn't think I could stomach the violence.
Far as satire goes, the book is genius.
Regarding the film: Christian Bale was pretty phenomenal in the role but the movie simply couldn't take it as far as the book did with the violence.
A
alana..i totally agree with your point of few..the movie isnt bad because of christian bale..because he is a phenomenal actor who always give up his own self for his role...but the movie was..how can i say it?..the book isnt made to be turned into a movie...:-)
